THIS IS A LIMITED RUN!
Like the French Bedan, I believe these tools are misunderstood by many people!
I considered the Beading Tool a versatile tool could be considered a “kind of chisel”. It is used for forming grooves with flat bottoms and also for projecting dowels or spigots. It is used for making tight convex curves or beads. It is used for truing up and cleaning up the end of a cylinder. It is used for making VEE cuts for chuck spigots, decoration or marking out. It is also useful in faceplate work for making recesses. I enjoy this tool on my spheres! The quality of Glaser Tools are plain and simple phenomenal!.
Our shot filled handles are designed to dampen vibration and reduce fatigue. The CPM10V material on this tool makes it exceptionally resistant to wear. The steel is atomized and compacted, resulting in an extremely homogeneous structure and dimensional stability.
Combine that with Jerry Glaser’s proprietary “cryogenics processes” being applied since 1995 and you just might fall in love with this versatile tool.
Our tools are sold already ground, based on Jerry Glaser’s years of experience on these shapes. Although sharpened, the initial grind is placed just to allow the woodturner to start using the tool right away. It is up to the user to determine if he/she wants to keep the same grind shape after initial use.
Assembled on a 12″ Glaser Hitec Handle.
Glaser Hitec Tools… simply put:
“the best woodturning tools in the world!”.
