THIS IS A LIMITED RUN!
Our Glaser French Bedan has its sides sloped inward at the bottom allowing for clearance. This feature also prevents the tool from binding in the cut. It can be used for rolling small beads, sizing tenons, rounding spheres or even for smoothing small diameter spindle work. It’s also outstanding when making a straight cut at the bottom of a box. I believe this to be an overlooked gem of a tool. Once you get used to it, you will not turn without it! I enjoy this tool on my spheres! The quality of Glaser Tools are plain and simple phenomenal!
Our shot filled handles are designed to dampen vibration and reduce fatigue. The CPM10V material on this tool makes it exceptionally resistant to wear. The steel is atomized and compacted, resulting in an extremely homogeneous structure and dimensional stability.
Combine that with Jerry Glaser’s proprietary cryogenics processes being applied since 1995 and you just might fall in love with this versatile tool.
Our tools are sold already ground, based on Jerry Glaser’s years of experience on these shapes. Although sharpened, the initial grind is placed just to allow the woodturner to start using the tool right away. It is up to the user to determine if he/she wants to keep the same grind shape after initial use.
Assembled on a 12″ Glaser Hitec Handle.
Glaser Hitec Tools… simply put:
“the best woodturning tools in the world!”.
